The most popular superstition associated with twitching right eye comes from the Chinese culture. According to the Chinese, the twitching of the right eye in men signifies an important windfall or good luck, but a twitching left eye would signify ill luck. When it comes to right eye twitching in women, the belief is exactly the opposite, to that of twitching right eye in men. In women, a twitching right eye would signify bad luck, while a twitching left eye signifies good luck. They also have this very interesting superstition, which is based on the anatomical breakdown of the eye. A twitch in the lower right eyelid means, a good fortune is headed your way while one in the upper eyelid signifies financial loss. The Nigerians also follow similar superstitions.
